At the Mirazozo with Annie

I took these photos while I visited an exhibition called Mirazozo which was showcased at the beginning of this year outside the Opera House. I loved the first image of Annie who has been my friend since high school. I hope to capture more interesting images of my friends. Recently I'm freelancing at companies, helping out with church and designing for friends so my time to illustrate is diminished. I hope to get back into it soon. I love how illustration can be a liberation. In real life, I'm quite an introverted, shy person but through illustration I find that I can express my emotions, opinions and situations through various ways and not being embarassed. There's no limit to the imagination.

Lorikeets!

The last photo was an experimenting with the camera settings and playing with light. I was aiming to create a lens flare effect but I think the result was quite interesting. At university, we called this "happy accidents".

Embracing the beauty of God's creation

Some random facts about me: I’ve became a Christian during university whilst studying design. Since then I have marvelled at God’s breath-taking and utterly magnificent creativity. From the beautiful patterns of sea creatures in the aquarium to the texture of flower petals, I greatly admire God as the Designer. Lately, I’ve been taking photos to capture the beauty of His creations. I love taking candid and natural shots.
